Cancering Collective is a creative, community-centered space for people living with cancer to express what can’t always be said — through words, art, and shared experience.

Cancer changes more than the body. It shifts identity, relationships, priorities, and the way we see ourselves in the world. Yet many people are left to carry those changes quietly, without a place to process what they’re holding.

The Cancering Collective is a virtual creative community where people living with cancer can explore the emotional side of the journey through writing, art, reflection, and shared expression.

Think of it as a life jacket in the storm of cancer — something to help you stay afloat when everything feels overwhelming.

This isn’t something to consume. It’s something we build together — a space to release what’s inside, rediscover your voice, and reconnect with who you are beyond diagnosis.

At the heart of the Cancering Collective is expression.

This Collective is open to people living with cancer wherever they are.

We create space for people living with cancer to write, create, and release — not for performance or perfection, but for honesty.

This is a safe place to find your voice, share what your strength looks like right now, and connect with others who understand the complexity of living with cancer.

We believe cancer does not define you.

But it can become a place where new purpose is birthed and identity is reclaimed.

There is no pressure to share, perform, or be positive here.

The Cancering Collective is for people living with cancer — at any stage.

We intentionally avoid defining anyone by the word “patient.”

This is a space for whole people — artists, writers, thinkers, parents, partners — whose lives include cancer, but are not limited to it.

If you’re looking for a place to process, express, and breathe a little easier, this is for you.

Cancer often leaves people carrying emotional burdens for years after treatment.

Without a place to release these burdens, the weight turns into isolation and grief.

The Cancering Collective exists to offer you an outlet, a virtual community where voice and purpose emerge from life’s storms.

Join the Cancering Collective to connect with a community that understands the emotional journey of cancer, plus receive your free copy of Lauren’s book, Cancering to support your journey.

After joining, you’ll also receive thoughtful reflections, prompts, and invitations to explore your story through writing, creativity, or quiet reflection — always at your own pace.
