Welcome to Adventure Therapy Foundation!
We’re happy you are here …and picked up a copy of Cancering, by Lauren Huffmaster!
This book isn’t just a guide; it’s a lifeline, offering encouragement, perspective, and the reassurance that no one walks this path alone.
We acknowledge the true feelings of fear, isolation, and broken identity that a cancer diagnosis can bring, but we want you to know that Adventure Therapy Foundation is here for you and your family. While many organizations concentrate on the physical challenges of cancer, Adventure Therapy was created specifically to help heal the equally devastating emotional side effects of the disease. Our programs that are designed to teach individuals and families how to face each side effect and learn how to break through it. They bring education, connection, and coaching, through our RISE program, to combat the emotional side effects. Through the process you may find the gift of cancer and believe in irrational optimism!
Here you will find many free online programs and resources that can encourage, inform, and let you know that you are not alone.
Cancer with Scars Podcast, hosted by Lauren Huffmaster, interviews fellow survivors and community members about the impact of cancer.
Free online learning platform! We have gathered experts who also have first-hand experience with the cancer experience. Our team has conducted interviews with these experts to help you understand and process your journey with cancer.
